About Compac Sorting Equipment

Compac Sorting Equipment was founded in 1984 by Mr Hamish Kennedy, Managing Director of the company. Compac is based in Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, with over 100 full time staff.

Through a constant commitment to research and development and a desire to be the best international provider of sizing, sorting and grading technology, Compac has a become a world leader in this specialised market. Word of mouth has been the primary driver behind the company's growth. This has been created by delivering precision electronic sorting technology, combined with quality mechanical systems that out-perform industry expectations and deliver on promises made.

A wide range of technologies have been developed or refined over the years. Compac's philosophy of being the best does not allow the design teams to develop average systems that just do the job. Every technology must at least meet market expectations and maximize the return on investment for the customer. Once a new system is developed, ongoing revision, fine tuning and upgrading is implemented to improve performance or simply to make the system easier to use.

Compac equipment is now widely used for most types of produce in over 20 countries. Compac software is widely regarded as being leading edge, as well as easy to use and flexible. Compac sizers are high quality systems that are reliable and easy to maintain. All software and technology is developed based on the needs of Compac customers combining years of experience with the latest development tools available.

Manufacturing and servicing is available from a growing number of sales and service staff and agents internationally. Compac sorters are being manufactured in Europe through a joint venture with Sorma in Italy, Compac Sorma Europe S.P.A, with a full service team available.
